There are times when you just cannot carry a DSLR. In such situations, a pocket camera is better than no camera at all. These are examples of travel snapshots taken with a variety of pocket cameras from 2003 to the present. Typically, such snapshots do not have the detail and the rich color of pictures taken with a DSLR. However, with improved technology and a little enhancing with Adobe Lightoom 2.0, several of these images are acceptable as 4x6 postcards. Even with advances in technology, pocket cameras still have small sensors and small lenses which just cannot produce the quality of larger lenses and cameras - especially in low light situations.
